STRENGTH 
As we progress through 2010, we will be exploring our 12 Powers. The Rev. Diane Venzera has created a special family guide. This is set up similar to our Sunday lessons in the Youth and Family Ministries. We start off with and overview to know where we are going and what we are drawing from within ourselves. We look at a story from the bible that supports the power, this month it is "David & Goliath" 1Samuel 17:1-51.
We will look physical strength, spiritual strength and mental strength. Creative activities are available for adults, teens and kids. On page three of the PDF you will find a suggested supply list for the activities. In the classrooms we use The Children's Illustrated Bible ISBN 0-7566-0935-6 Stories retold by Salina Hastings. This is a great small-scale bible to own as a family.
This month in our youth classrooms we will look at "Love" as it is in the air this month!! Loving ourselves and how to express God love. On January 31st, we made special Valentine's for our local nursing home. We will have a few more fun love themed activities as well as mastering our "Shout It Out" game!!

“Shout It Out!” Have you heard about our new Sunday morning game? Each 
Sunday we start our lessons with a fast paced game of “Shout It Out!” If you visit one of our classrooms at the beginning of our Sun-day lesson, you might get caught up in this quick-fire game that is similar to “Wheel of Fortune.” With the alphabet ready to help, we work though the day’s phrase. The kids take turns guessing letters until some-one shouts it out! The phrase is usually our affirmation of the day or the theme of what we are learning. Keep an eye and ear open for it at home!

This couple is from Raleigh, NC, and they work to support the journey of spiritual parenting. The programs are often live on Thursdays and then made available to download at your convenience. You may also download their library of previous episodes. These files are in the mp3 format and are also available through iTunes as podcasts, free of charge.
