Unity Reiki Team

Reiki is a Japanese technique that promotes stress reduction and relaxation. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". Through training, a Reiki practitioner is attuned to being a transmitter or conduit of Reiki. Anyone, including animals, can receive Reiki through a direct soft touch, or through long distance transmission.

It is useful for any and all of life’s situations. Reiki “works” with every part of us, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual, for Reiki flows of its own perfection as our body/mind/spirit guides it. Receiving Reiki is effortless—simply be open to receive it. And don’t worry if you are working or busy during the time of the session, you will still receive.

The Unity Reiki Team offers free weekly long-distance Reiki sessions. They are held every Sunday evening between 9 and 9:30 pm. To receive Reiki on any given Sunday, please email your request to this email address…reikiteam@unityhartford.com. In the request, please list only the first name of the recipient, their location-city or state or country-and if you wish you may list a specific reason for the request, ie: general well-being, broken arm, peace of mind etc. This serves as a point of intention, for the practitioner as well as the receiver, but is not absolutely necessary for the practitioner to know.

Please email your requests each week by 9 P.M. Saturday evening. You will receive Reiki the next day, Sunday evening, from all members of the Reiki Team. If you wish to receive Reiki again, kindly resubmit a request. Each week’s requests are compiled into a single email and distributed via email to each member of the team. The team members do the sessions from their home. All information is kept confidential.
