“The Boggart in the Wardrobe”
Our
newfound spiritual powers are exciting and creative. But before we put them
fully to use, we must dissolve every preconception – and face every fear. The
process is often painful, but the rewards are always great.

at 6:30 pm. We’re showing “Spiritual Shorts,” an evening of three
very different, highly entertaining short films from the Spiritual Cinema Circle.
Suggested donation only $5. Share the
experience through the lively discussion afterward.

A Gallery 919 Artist’s Talk by Natalie Alleyne, our current exhibitor, will be held this Sunday,
August 29, at 12:15 pm. Meet the artist and learn about her creative
process.

Singing with Ease, a transforming workshop with Debra Lynn, will take place this Sunday, August 29, at 1:00 pm. People
of all abilities and experience are welcome to attend. You will be
amazed!

A Great Big “Thank You” to everyone who helped
with food, set-up, grilling, and clean-up at the picnic last Sunday. Even
though Mother Nature insisted on rain, we showed that our spirits could not be
dampened. It was a lot of fun and we're looking forward to next year's picnic.

The Bible Alive Service
with Rev. Ed Townley has been well received and will continue to meet on Sundays from 8:30 – 9:30 am. This casual,
laid-back service is held in the Community Room.

Unity’s 2010 World Day of Payer occurs on
Thursday, September 9. Unity of Greater Hartford will be open all day
for contemplation and prayer. The theme this year is “Living in the Flow,”
reminding us that there is an everlasting Source within us. When we are in the
flow, we are instruments of this Source.

cozy-paced class, perfect for those interested in a gentler practice or
concerned with mobility. Drop in for $8 per class. This is the last Thursday
morning class.

class with Renée Ulbinsky, RYT 500. An on-going class for beginner through intermediate level. Come
15 minutes early if this is your first time. Drop in for $8 per class, $30 for
4 classes, $55 for 8 classes.

offers free weekly long-distance Reiki sessions. Please submit an e-mail
request to reikiteam@unityhartford.com by
Saturday at 9:00 pm. List only the first name of the recipient, their
location (city or state, or country) and if you wish, a specific reason for the
request, such as sinus condition or peace of mind, etc. All information is kept
confidential. On Sunday from 9:00 to 9:30 pm, sit or lie quietly if possible and receive the
long-distance Reiki.

Alive Service with Rev. Ed Townley. Grab a
cup of coffee and join in this casual, laid-back service that seeks to go
deeper into scripture - not just for its theological or historical interest,
but also as a powerful, helpful, and highly entertaining guide to the
challenges of our lives today. The service is held
in our Community Room.

If you have you ever thought, “I can’t sing” or “I can’t sing well,” this
workshop will make a difference. Debra has assisted hundreds of people to sing
with ease and discover their own well-balanced voice. People of all abilities
and experience are welcome. Debra has scheduled additional workshops on Oct 3
and Nov 7. Suggested love offering $20.
