The physical body needs Chi (bioelectric energy) to function fully. That life giving energy can be blocked by stress, thoughts, emotions and trauma. The flow of energy is enhanced when we relax, breathe deeply, clear the mind and move gently. When the energy flows smoothly, the body heals. Class fee: $5. Over the past 15 years thousands of people have taken the 4T Prosperity Program developed by Rev. Stretton Smith. Combining CDs, workbooks, class discussion and small group prayer support, the 4T Program uses basic spiritual principles and the Twelve Steps of recovery from addiction to help students identify and dissolve the fears and false beliefs that are blocking the free flow of abundance in their lives. The "4T"s of the title stand for Tithing of Time, Talent and Treasure. The 4Ts materials consist of a detailed workbook and a set of twelve CDs. Each class involves listening, reading along, discussion and small group prayer support; there are also assignments to be completed during the weeks between classes. The only cost for the 4T Program is a materials fee of $50. In addition, a commitment to tithing -- of time, talent and treasure -- is required during the 12 weeks of the course. "Tithing is essential to releasing the flow of prosperity," Rev Ed notes. "It's so important that it comes with a money-back guarantee: Anyone who feels that the program is not working in his or her life can request a full refund of all financial tithes at any time, up to a week after the program concludes." Since materials must be ORDERED IN ADVANCE, pre-registration is required for the 4T classes. Phone the church at 860-289-8963 to reserve space, or to ask any questions. "I have seen lives completely transformed by the 4Ts process," Rev Ed reports, "and I've experienced firsthand the powerful energy of excitement and abundance that results from a serious commitment to dissolving negative beliefs and affirming spiritual principles at work in all areas of life. I look forward to a powerful, positive and rewarding program here at Unity of Greater Hartford."

Movie Night 07:00 PM-Once a month we present a movie and cartoon. This month we will be showing 'Jesus of Monteal'. It will be shown in the Shea Community Room at 7 pm. Doors open at 6:30 and refreshments are available for your viewing pleasure. Please come with family & friends to enjoy the show and a discussion afterwards. The film revolves around a group of actors in Montreal, Quebec hired by a Roman Catholic site of pilgrimage ("le sanctuaire") to present a Passion play in its gardens, with an actor named Daniel playing the role of Christ. The sanctuary is implied to be Saint Joseph's Oratory (although this organization actually refused permission to film there). However, the actors' interpretation of the life of Jesus is unconventional (including, for example, the statement that the biological father of Jesus was a Roman soldier, who left Palestine shortly afterwards), and although the challenging production becomes the toast of the city, the Roman Catholic Church strongly objects to its Biblical interpretation and forcefully stops the performances. The film is structured so that Daniel's story parallels that of Christ. Jesus of Montreal won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival[1] and the Genie Award for Best Canadian Film of 1989. It has twice been placed second on the TIFF List of Canada's Top Ten Films of All Time, and was nominated for the 1989 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film

4T Prosperity Program 10:00 AM-Rev. Ed will teach the 12-week 4T Prosperity Program (c) on Saturdays from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, beginning January 16 and continuing through April 10, 2010.

Youth Education 10:15 AM-UniKids (4 yr old - 2nd grade), UniStars (3rd - 5th grade), UniTeens (6th - 8th grade) and Y.O.U. (9th - 12th grade). Youth and Family Ministry On October 4th, our youth will begin .."The Journey to Oz". This series uses the beloved characters from The Wizard of Oz book and film to gently teach us that all we will ever need to succeed in life is right within us. Through our connection with Spirit, we can do all things. This is the only place we need to look. Each week of the series will include a lesson, a connection of spiritual principles, an affirmation, and creative expression. Our first week is, "The Journey to a Far Country Begins" This lesson will teach us to understand that at various times in our lives we all make decisions in order to discover something new about ourselves. We will affirm: "God is with me no matter where I am." Along with our weekly lesson, we will also do a creative expression activity. This will be an activity built upon as we work our way through the twelve weeks, occasionally it will be something to take home. At the end of the series, on December 20th, we will have a grand celebration of our journey, and of "coming home". All children are welcome to join in the fun, be if for one week, or for all. Children under the age of five will be lovingly cared for in our Uni Stars room, where they will experience love and kindness through play.
